2009 Graduation

The LIFT graduation fashion show was held on 31st May 2009 at the Galadari Hotel ballroom, presenting the work of 30 young designers who were selected among 62 graduates. The creativity expressed through fashion, cat-walked on ramp was the moment all the designers awaited. This graduation show marked the apex of the journey of self discovery where LIFT's team of dedicated staff pass the torch to these eager new explorers.

Sony Bravia and Cybershot launch 2009 styled by LIFT

Bravia and CyberShot the high technology Sony inventions introduced their latest models for 2009. This High tech LCD TV and the digital cameras are meant to reveal the perfect color and clarity to human eye through technology. Lanka Institute of Fashion Technology styled their launch by designing the outfits for the brand representative models with the richness of fiber and texture with raw silk and the selection of the actual hues to match the brand image and the concept of the 2009 promotions

LIFT wins the EDEX 2009 stall holder competition - career category

The concept of colour blocking was used to decorate the stall and at the same time to educate young students with the current trends. LIFT created the right atmosphere at the right time to promote its services giving the experince of creativity and educating the young students who are looking for higher education and professional qualifications after their O/L's and A/L's.

LECTRA stall at AISEX 2008 styled by LIFT

LECTRA together with Apparel Technologies (Pvt) Ltd - the sole agent for Lectra in Sri Lanka, exhibited their solutions at the AISEX Exhibition 2008. The stall was skillfully styled by LIFT using Lectra's modern and advanced Software Solutions.

The Fortress nurtures home-grown talent with exclusive uniform award

The Fortress announces that their uniforms will be designed by Ms. Najila Ableg and Mrs. Sandaru Wickramasinghe, Visionary graduates from Lanka Institute of Fashion Technology, LIFT, Internationally recognized as one of the best design Schools in Sri Lanka and also linked to the University of Northampton in the United Kingdom.

Winning the Sunday Observer Fashion Designer of the year award

Dulakshi Jayasekara – Observer Fashion Designer of the Year 2007 and winner of the evening wear and saree ware segment.

Dulakshi Jayasekara was adjudged the winner of the Sunday Observer Fashion Designer of the Year 2007 contest at the grand finale held at the BMICH last night. Here the champion designer Jayasekara receiving her award from the chief guest , Bandula Padmakumara, chairman of the Associated Newspapers Cylone Ltd ( ANCL).
